Nigerian songstress, Ayra Starr, has revealed how she got signed to Mavins Records.

In a chat with Hip TV, the singer said despite her reluctance to showcase her talent, her belief in God gave her music career the wide publicity.

Ayra Starr added that a few minutes after she posted a freestyle video, "Don Jazzy", the Mavin Records boss, reached out to her via Instagram’s direct message. 

" just allowed God to manifest his grace through me. 

"I use to model because I had to make little money for school but I always knew music was going to come,”

In her words, she said:

"The way music manifested, the way it came into my life was like if I had not believed in God, it wouldn’t have happened."

"I just posted a cover on Instagram that day but I didn’t want to post it.  

"I was like it’s too ugly, it’s too emotional, I shouldn’t post it and something kept telling me not to post it, but I posted it."

"It was not up to an hour, my record label boss saw the video and sent me a message like oh come to the studio – and here I am today.”;#?"
