Ohanaeze N'Digbo, a
socio-political group, has called on the federal government to call “Miyetti Allah” to order following the
cattle-rearers group's recent statement on the security of the southeast.
“According to Legit, It would be recalled
that the Fulani cattle rearers have called on the government to amend the
constitution in a way that will hand them the control of southeast security.”
Speaking on the heels of atrocities allegedly
committed by its members, “Miyetti Allah”
submitted that taking the control of the security will enable it to fish out
the bad eggs among its members.
“Ohanaeze”, has, however, described
the statement as provocative, saying such remark is capable of endangering the
peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.
“Arthur Obiora”, leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, said the
effrontery of “Miyetti” is
mischievous and the group's statement is a slap on the face of what the
southeast people can do.
“Abiora” called on President “Muhammadu Buhari” to denounce the call
by the “Miyetti Allah” to prove its
non-complicity in the demand which could set the country apart.
